Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Asterisk. A remote user can cause the target service to crash.

A remote user can send an ACK message from a specially crafted endpoint username to trigger a null pointer error and cause the target service to crash.

Systems using the PJSIP stack are affected.

Systems using chan_sip are not affected.

Nappsoft reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target service to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
