Description:   A vulnerability was reported in CitectSCADA. A local user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A local user can submit specially crafted login data to trigger a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability resides in a 3rd party component used by the system.

Mitsubishi MX4 SCADA V7.10 and prior using the MX4 SCADA Batch module is also affected.

Kuang-Chun Hung of Taiwan's Information and Communication Security Technology Center (ICST) reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (7.20).
