Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in HP Data Protector. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted data execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target service.

HP Data Protector Notebook Extension and HP Data Protector for Personal Computers are affected.

Andrea Micalizzi aka rgod reported these vulnerabilities via TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (DPPCWIN_00001).
