Description:   A vulnerability was reported in rsyslog. A remote or local user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send a specially crafted (long) TAG value to trigger a two-byte stack overflow in the parseLegacySyslogMsg() function and cause the target service to crash.

Impact:   A remote or local user can rsyslog to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (4.6.8, 4.7.5, 5.8.5, 5.9.3, 6.1.12, 6.3.5).
