Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM solidDB. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send specially crafted rpc_test_svc_readwrite and rpc_test_svc_done commands to TCP port 2315 to trigger a null pointer dereference and cause 'solidDB.exe' to crash.

The vendor was notified on November 7, 2010.

Tenable Network Security reported this vulnerability via TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target database service to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (4.5.182, 6.0.1069, 6.3.49 (FP8), (FP4)).
