Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Apple QuickTime. A local user can access potentially sensitive information.

A local user can exploit a file permission flaw to access the contents of the "Apple Computer" directory in the target user's profile.

Mac OS X systems are not affected.

Geoff Strickler of On-Line Transaction Consultants reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can access potentially sensitive information.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (7.6.9), available from the Software Update application, or from the QuickTime Downloads site:
