Description:
Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Mozilla Thunderbird. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information.
A remote user can create specially crafted HTML-based e-mail that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2010-2760, CVE-2010-2762, CVE-2010-2763, CVE-2010-2765, CVE-2010-2766, CVE-2010-2767, CVE-2010-2770, CVE-2010-3166, CVE-2010-3167, CVE-2010-3168, and CVE-2010-3169]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
A remote user can cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser in the security context of an arbitrary site [CVE-2010-2768, CVE-2010-2769]. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
A remote user can from an arbitrary domain can access the statusText property of an XMLHttpRequest object within another domain [CVE-2010-2764]. This can be exploited to gather information about servers on internal private networks.
