Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Squid. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send specially crafted HTCP packets to trigger a null pointer dereference and cause the target service to crash.

Systems with the HTCP port open are affected.

The vulnerability resides in 'htcp.cc'.

Kieran Whitbread reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target proxy to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (3.0.STABLE24).
