Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Verbatim Corporate Secure flash drives. A local user can bypass access controls to access files on the target device.

A local user can modify a running version of the access control software to cause the password validation process to grant access to the local user. The local user can then obtain files on the target device.

The following versions are affected:

Verbatim Corporate Secure USB Flash Drive 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB
Verbatim Corporate Secure FIPS Edition USB Flash Drives 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB:

Impact:   A local user can bypass access controls to access files on the target flash drive.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
