Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Intel SINIT Authenticated Code Module. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can exploit a misconfiguration in the SINIT code to circumvent Intel Trusted Execution Technology and gain elevated privileges.

Intel systems with Q35, GM45, PM45 Express, Q45, and Q43 Express chipsets are affected.

Alexander Tereshkin, Rafal Wojtczuk, and Joanna Rutkowska from Invisible Things Lab reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
