Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Solaris. A local user can cause denial of service conditions.

A local user can exploit flaws in the LDAP client configuration cache daemon (ldap_cachemgr(1M)) to cause the ldap_cachemgr daemon to terminate. This will prevent users from logging in to LDAP client systems.

Impact:   A local user can cause the ldap_cachemgr daemon to terminate, preventing users from logging in to LDAP client systems.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.

SPARC Platform:

* Solaris 9 with patch 112960-69 or later
* Solaris 10 with patch 127111-07 or later
* OpenSolaris based upon builds snv_78 or later

x86 Platform:

* Solaris 9 with patch 114242-54 or later
* Solaris 10 with patch 127954-04 or later
* OpenSolaris based upon builds snv_78 or later

The vendor is working on a fix for Solaris 8.
