Description:   A vulnerability was reported in LibTIFF. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted TIFF image file that, when processed by the target application, will trigger an integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target application using LibTIFF.

The cvt_whole_image() function in the tiff2rgba tool and the tiffcvt() function in the rgb2ycbcr tool are affected. A specially crafted width and height value can trigger the flaw.

The vendor was notified on May 22, 2009.
