Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Linux Kernel in the splice(2) system call. A local user can cause denial of service conditions.

A local user can invoke the splice(2) system call to trigger a deadlock condition on the target system.

Impact:   A local user can cause process deadlock conditions on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (2.6.27.24, 2.6.29.4, 2.6.30-rc3).
