Description:   A vulnerability was reported in XScreenSaver on Solaris. An application may be able to bypass the screen lock and display pop-up windows.

The Solaris XScreenSaver (xscreensaver(1)) program contains a vulnerability that may allow pop-up windows to appear through a locked screen. A physically local user may be able to obtain potentially sensitive data.

Impact:   A physically local user may be able to obtain potentially sensitive data.
Solution:   Sun has issued the following fixes.

SPARC Platform:

* Solaris 10 with patch 120094-22 or later
* Open Solaris based upon builds snv_109 or later

x86 Platform:

* Solaris 10 with patch 120095-22 or later
* Open Solaris based upon builds snv_109 or later

Sun is working on a fix for GNOME 2.0 and 2.0.2.
