Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft WINS Server. A remote user can conduct a man-in-the-middle attack to spoof the system.

The server does not properly restrict registration of Web Proxy Auto-Discovery (WPAD) or Intra-Site Automatic Tunnel Addressing Protocol (ISATAP) entries on the WINS server. If the name registration does not exist, a remote user can register a WPAD or ISATAP entry and spoof the legitimate web proxy or ISATAP route and intercept or redirect Internet traffic.
