Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Libxml2. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted XML content that, when processed by the target application using libxml2, will trigger an integer overflow in the xmlSAX2Characters() function and crash the target application or potentially execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target application.

The vulnerability resides in 'SAX2.c'.

Drew Yao from Apple Product Security reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can create XML content that, when loaded by the target application, may execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a source code fix, available via SVN.
