Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Solaris. A local user can cause denial of service conditions.

On Solaris systems without InfiniBand hardware, a local user can exploit a flaw in the socket(3SOCKET) function to trigger a system panic.

Solaris 8 and Solaris 9 are not affected.

Impact:   A local user can cause the target system to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued the following fixes.

SPARC Platform

* Solaris 10 with patch 137137-05 or later
* OpenSolaris based upon builds snv_92 or later

x86 Platform

* Solaris 10 with patch 137138-05 or later
* OpenSolaris based upon builds snv_92 or later
