Description:   A vulnerability was reported in AIX in the lsmcode command. A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.

A local user can exploit a flaw in '/usr/sbin/lsmcode' to execute arbitrary code on the target system with root privileges.

IBM discovered this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued the following fixes.

For 5.2.0: APAR IZ15276
For 5.3.0: APAR IZ15100
For 5.3.7: APAR IZ15057
For 6.1.0: APAR IZ15277
