Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Linux Kernel in the virtual file system. A local user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

A local user can truncate writable directories on the target system (i.e., directories that the user has write privileges for), preventing users from accessing contents of the directory.

Impact:   A local user can truncate directories on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fixed version (2.6.23.14).
