Description:   A vulnerability was reported in AOL's AOLMediaPlaybackControl ActiveX Control. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a buffer overflow in the AOLMediaPlaybackControl control and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

The CLSIDs of the affected controls are: B49C4597-8721-4789-9250-315DFBD9F525 and FA3662C3-B8E8-11D6-A667-0010B556D978

Will Dormann of the CERT/CC reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued an automatic fix.
