Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Yahoo! Messenger. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

The CLSID of the vulnerable control is: 64AA7031-C150-4118-8D31-FD273A2BB22C

iDefense Labs reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   The vendor issued a fixed version on August 29, 2007 (version 2007.8.27.1).
