Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Symantec Backup Exec for Windows Servers. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send a specially crafted RPC request to cause the target service to crash.

The vendor notes that there is "a slight potential" for arbitrary code execution.

Only servers are affected.

Symantec credits iDefense with reporting this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target service to crash.
