Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Windows Shell that can be exploited via the WebViewFolderIcon ActiveX control. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user via Internet Explorer, will trigger an integer overflow in the Windows Shell and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

A specially crafted parameter provided to the setSlice method of the WebViewFolderIcon ActiveX control can trigger the flaw.

Microsoft indicates that the underlying vulnerability resides in the Windows Shell but can be exposed via the WebViewFolderIcon ActiveX control.

Microsoft reports that Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2003 SP1 is not affected when the Enhanced Security Configuration is enabled (the default condition).
