Description:
Several vulnerabilities were reported in Adobe ColdFusion. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks. A user may be able to access restricted information.
A remote user can send a specially crafted command to the ColdFusion Flash Remoting Gateway to cause ColdFusion to enter an infinite loop [CVE-2006-4724]. ColdFusion MX 6.1 is not affected. The vendor credits Shigeyoshi Muraoka of IT Frontier Corporation with reporting this vulnerability.
Under certain circumstances, a CFML template outside a sandbox can call ColdFusion components within a sandbox [CVE-2006-4725]. ColdFusion MX 6.1 is not affected. The vendor credits Stephen Moretti of Nil Desperandum with reporting this vulnerability.
An error page does not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input [CVE-2006-4726]. A remote user can create a specially crafted URL that, when loaded by a target user, will cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the Adobe ColdFusion software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user. The vendor credits Mike Nicholls of Cabbage Tree Creative Ltd. with reporting this vulnerability.
