Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader on Mac OS X. A local user may be able to gain elevated privileges.

The software uses unsafe file and folder permissions when installed on Mac OS X. A local user can modify Acrobat program files to include arbitrary code. Then, when the target user runs Adobe Acrobat/Reader, the code will be executed with the privileges of the target user.

The vendor discovered this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can cause arbitrary code to be executed with the privileges of the target user.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fixed version (7.0.8).
