Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Apple FTPServer. A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can send specially crafted data to trigger a buffer overflow in the processing of path names and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   Apple has issued a fix as part of Security Update 2006-003, available via Software Update preferences and at Apple Downloads:
