Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Apple Mac OS X CoreGraphics. A local user may be able to obtain secure input.

If "Enable access for assistive devices" is enabled, a local user can invoke Quartz Event Services to intercept events even when secure event input is enabled. This allows a local user to, for example, obtain characters entered into a secure text field within the same window session.

Systems prior to Mac OS X v10.4 are not affected.

Apple credits Damien Bobillot with reporting this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user may be able to obtain secure text field input.
Solution:   Apple has issued a fix as part of Security Update 2006-003, available via Software Update preferences and at Apple Downloads:
