Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft PowerPoint. A user can obtain potentially sensitive information.

PowerPoint can access certain objects by name in the Temporary Internet Files Folder (TIFF) when attempting to render certain HTML data. As a result, a remote user can create a specially crafted PowerPint file that, when loaded by the target user, may access items in the temporary folder.

Microsoft credits Yorick Koster of ITsec Security Services with reporting this vulnerability. Microsoft also credits Andreas Sandblad with reporting a similar flaw.

Impact:   A remote user may be able to obtain potentially sensitive information.
Solution:   The vendor has issued the following fix:
