Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Adobe Illustrator. A local user can gain elevated privileges.

The software installs with file and folder permissions that allow a local user to modify key program files. A local user can modify these files to include arbitrary code. Then, when the program is executed by the target user, the arbitrary code will be executed with the privileges of the target user.

The vendor credits Sudhakar Govindavajhala and Andrew Appel of Princeton University with reporting this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user may be able to obtain the privileges of a target user.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
