Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Solaris 10 in the x64 kernel. A local user can cause denial of service conditions.

A local user can invoke a setcontext() call to trigger a system panic on x64 platforms when running in 64-bit mode.

SPARC and 32-bit x86 platforms are not affected.

Solaris 8 and Solaris 9 are not affected because they don't support for the x64 architecture.

Impact:   A local user can cause a kernel panic.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fixed version:

Solaris 10 with patch 118844-14 or later
