Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the BlackBerry Device Software. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

The browser does not properly dismiss certain dialog boxes. A remote user can create a specially crafted Java Application Description (JAD) file that, when loaded by the target user, will cause the target user's web browser to freeze. A long application name and vendor string value can trigger this vulnerability.

FX of Phenoelit reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target user's web browser to stop responding.
Solution:   The vendor has released a fixed version (4.0.2).
