Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Asterisk in the Web-Voicemail feature. A remote authenticated user can access voicemail messages of other users.

The 'vmail.cgi' script does not properly validate user-supplied input. A remote authenticated user can supply a specially crafted URL to download WAV files from the target system.

A demonstration exploit URL to retrieve 'msg0001.wav' from the '/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/201/INBOX/' directory is provided:

The vendor was notified on October 18, 2005.
