Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Client Service for NetWare (CSNW). A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send a specially crafted message to trigger a buffer overflow in the Client Service for NetWare and execute arbitrary code on the target system to take full control of the target system.

The affected service is also called Gateway Service for NetWare on Windows 2000 Server.

CSNW is not installed by default.

The vendor credits Kostya Kortchinsky with CERT RENATER with reporting this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued the following fixes:
