Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Macromedia Breeze. The system may disclose a user's password.

When a user resets their password via the 'reset password' link on the server login page, the new password is stored in the Breeze database in plain text instead of as a hashed password.

The Breeze 'licensed server' version is affected. The 'hosted server' version is not affected.

Macromedia credits Troy Wise of Edstrom Industries, Inc with reporting this vulnerability.

Impact:   The system may store a user's password in the database in plain text form.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fixed version (5.1), available at:
