Description:
Several vulnerabilities were reported in MySQL Eventum. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks. A remote user can also inject SQL commands.
Several scripts do not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input. A remote user can create a specially crafted URL that, when loaded by a target user, will cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the vulnerable software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
Some demonstration exploit URLs are provided:
http://[target]/view.php?id=1'%22%3E%3Ciframe%3E
http://[target]/list.php?keywords=&users=&category=&release=%22%3E%3Ciframe%3E
http://[target]/get_jsrs_data.php?F=wee%22%3E%3Ciframe%3E
The software does not properly validate user-supplied input. A remote user can supply a specially crafted parameter value to execute SQL commands on the underlying database. The 'email' parameter in '/includes/class.auth.php' is affected.
Some other scripts are affected and can be exploited by remote authenticated users, including:
/reports/custom_fields.php
/reports/custom_fields_graph.php
/manage/releases.php
James Bercegay of the GulfTech Security Research Team discovered these vulnerabilities.

Impact:
A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site running the Eventum software, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
A remote user can execute SQL commands on the underlying database.
