Description:   A format string vulnerability was reported in Ettercap. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The curses_msg() function in 'ec_curses.c' makes a call to the wdg_scroll_print() function based on user-supplied input without providing the proper format string specifier. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fixed version (0.7.3), available at:
