Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Windows Hyperlink Object Library. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target system with the privileges of the target user.

The vendor reported that there is a buffer overflow in the processing of hyperlinks. A remote user can create a specially crafted hyperlink that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

The vendor credits Anna Hollingzworth with reporting this flaw.

Impact:   A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system with the privileges of the target user.
