Description:   A vulnerability was reported in CitrusDB. A remote user may be able to obtain credit card import and export data.

The software saves credit card data within the web path:

<path to CitrusDB>/io/newfile.txt

A remote user can directly access the data.

A demonstration exploit URL is provided:

http://[target]/citrusdb/io/newfile.txt

The vendor was notified on January 28, 2005.

The RedTeam penetration testing group at the Laboratory for Dependable Distributed Systems at RWTH-Aachen University discovered this flaw. The original advisory is available at:

Impact:   A remote user may be able to obtain credit card import/export data.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fixed version (0.3.6), available at:
