Description:   An authentication vulnerability was reported FlexWATCH Network video server. A remote user can access the system and make modifications.

SLAIZER reported that a remote user can gain access to the system using a specially crafted URL with a path that begins with a double slash, as shown in the following example:

http://[target]//app/sample/ab1.html

The remote user can reportedly gain access to the administrative interface with the following URL:

http://[target]//admin/aindex.htm

With this access, the remote user can add and delete user accounts and make modifications to the system configuration, the report said.

Impact:   A remote user can gain administrative access to the system.
