Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Powershell. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted Powershell file that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2018-8256].

A local user can create a specially crafted Powershell files that, when loaded by the target user, will allow the user to execute unlogged code [CVE-2018-8415].

Snyk Security Research Team and Amirreza Niakanlahiji (@DissectMalware) of University of North Carolina at Charlotte reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
