Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Icecast. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted data to trigger a buffer overflow in url-auth and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target service.

Systems with a mount definition that enables URL authentication are affected.

Nick Rolfe of Semmle Security Research Team https://lgtm.com/security reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
