Description:   A vulnerability was reported in VMware ESXi. A local user on the guest system can cause denial of service conditions on the host system.

A local user on the guest system can cause denial of service conditions on the host system by triggering an infinite loop in a 3D-rendering shader.

Systems with the 3D-acceleration feature enabled can be exploited.

Piotr Bania of Cisco Talos reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user on the guest system can cause denial of service conditions on the host system.
Solution:   VMware has issued an advisory.
