Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco ASA. A remote user can cause the target service to crash.

A remote user that can conduct a man-in-the-middle attack between the target Cisco ASA router and the target TCP syslog server can send specially crafted data to consume the 1550-byte buffers on the target device. As a result, all TCP-based features, including AnyConnect SSL VPN, clientless SSL VPN, and management connections (e.g., Secure Shell (SSH), Telnet, HTTPS), will stop functioning.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCvh73829 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause all TCP-based functions on the target TCP logging system to stop functioning.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
