Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Linux kernel. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can run a specially crafted application to trigger an overflow in the cache invalidation optimization and execute arbitrary code on the target system with elevated privileges.

Jann Horn of Google Project Zero reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (3.16.58, 4.4.157, 4.9.128, 4.14.71, 4.18.9).
