Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Apache CXF. A remote user can bypass TLS hostname verification in certain cases. IBM WebSphere Application Server is affected.

The system does not properly verify TLS hostnames when used with the 'com.sun.net.ssl' implementation. A remote user that can conduct a man-in-the-middle attack can bypass the hostname verification.

Impact:   A remote user can bypass TLS hostname verification.
Solution:   IBM has issued a fix for IBM WebSphere Application Server (Fix Pack 9.0.0.9).
