Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Prime Access Registrar. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted TCP SYN packets to cause a system file descriptor to be allocated and not freed. This process can be repeated to cause the target application to restart if a file descriptor cannot be obtained.


The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCvk08672 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (7.3.0.4, 8.0.1.1).
