Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Linux kernel. A local user can obtain potentially sensitive information from system memory.

The paravirt_patch_call/jump() functions in 'arch/x86/kernel/paravirt.c' do not properly process certain indirect calls. A local user can obtain potentially sensitive information from system memory for a target paravirtualized guest system.

Nadav Amit reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain potentially sensitive information from system memory for a target paravirtualized guest system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (4.18.1).
