Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Apache Struts. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

On systems using a result where a namespace value is not set and where higher-level action configuration(s) do not have a namespace value or have a wildcard namespace, a remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

On systems using a url tag where a namespace value is not set and where higher-level action configuration(s) do not have a namespace value or have a wildcard namespace, a remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Man Yue Mo from the Semmle Security Research team reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (2.3.35, 2.5.17).
