Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS/IOS XE. A remote user can obtain encrypted IKEv1 nonces on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted Internet Key Exchange Version 1 (IKEv1) requests to obtain RSA-encrypted nonces.

Systems configured with the authentication rsa-encr option are affected.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCve77140 to this vulnerability.

Dennis Felsch, Martin Grothe, and Jorg Schwenk from Ruhr-Universitat Bochum and Adam Czubak and Marcin Szymanek from University of Opole reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can obtain RSA-encrypted IKEv1 nonces on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
